Opera By the Lakes
Gippsland Opera proudly present Opera by the Lakes at Nyerimilang Heritage Park, Sunday 19 March 2023.
Nyerimilang is a beautiful National Park with stunning views over the magnificent Gippsland Lakes.
Opera By The Lakes will feature a stellar star studded cast with performers such as Teddy Tahu Rhodes, David Hobson, Alexandra Lewis, that amazing quartet of singers the Idea of North, Sylvie Paladino, Marina Prior, tenor Shanul Sharma, coloratura soprano Georgia Wilkinson, Nathan Lay, Jeremy Kleeman, Olivia Cranwell, Madeleine Crombie, flautist Jane Rutter, who charmed the birds from the trees.

Far East Music Festival
Mallacoota, April 7-9 2023
The Far East Music Festival will take place on the wilderness coast in the small and remote coastal township of Mallacoota in Victoria on the Easter weekend, April 7-9 2023.
Come be immersed in music, culture and nature on the wilderness coast. Mallacootians, Far East Gippslanders, surrounding communities and visitors alike, are invited to come together and immerse themselves in three days of music, culture and nature as we emerge from fires, floods and pandemics to reconnect and build on our strengths as a community as we tread lightly together in this beautiful little corner of the world.

Dinner Plain Polo

The Dinner Plain Polo is a highly anticipated event that takes place annually in the beautiful alpine high country.
The Geebung’s will battle it out agains the Cuff n Collars as they take to the polo field at Cobungra Station, Victoria’s finest and largest cattle station.
If you're in East Gippsland this autumn, the Dinner Plain Geebung Polo is an event not to be missed and is a great day out for the whole family.
Cobungra Station is a short drive from Dinner Plain, Hotham and Omeo on the Great Alpine Road – the event will be well marked with signage on the day.
Gippsland Lakes Paddle Challenge
Saturday 6th May 2023 Paynesville, Metung & Lakes Entrance
Experience and paddle the open water conditions on the Gippsland Lakes, Australia's largest inland water way!
Choose your craft and start in Paynesville or in Metung then race to finish at the Lakes Entrance Main Beach Footbridge!

X-Marathon Adventure Race
Taking place in the pristine natural landscapes of Lakes Entrance East Gippsland, this event will be an all-action weekend that anyone will enjoy, on May 6-7 2023.
X-Marathon is a classic adventure race, open for teams of two and four, since 2011.
Three courses are on offer: mini four hour, half 12 hours, full 24 hours.
You will navigate your way between checkpoints using a map and compass only.
X-Marathon is the longest-running Adventure Junkie’s event and involves a non-stop navigation-based adventure race with plenty of mental and physical challenges for ultimate adventure racers.
This is a fully supported 24/12/4 hour adventure race for teams of four, premier category- Mixed; Female and Male categories. Three courses: Full - approximately 120 kilometres, Half - about 80 kilometres and Mini- about 25 kilometres. Disciplines: trekking, river and lake paddle (kayaking equipment is supplied), mountain biking -all navigation based.
