accessibility
our commitment to creating a welcoming, inclusive and supportive environment for all guests
at Metung Hot Springs, we believe relaxation and wellbeing should be available to everyone
We understand that accessibility needs can vary — including mobility support, disability, chronic health conditions, injury, sensory sensitivities, neurodiversity, or guests who simply require a little extra assistance to enjoy their visit.
As our hot springs are set within a natural, elevated landscape, some areas include slopes, steps and uneven surfaces. We encourage you to review the information below so you can plan your visit with confidence and feel comfortable before you arrive.
If you have any questions at all, or would like to discuss your needs in advance, our team is here to help.
before you visit and onsite support
-
before your visit
We recommend letting us know about any accessibility requirements at the time of booking or contacting our Guest Services team prior to your visit. This allows us to prepare where possible and help you make the most of your time with us.
-
support during your visit
Our team is here to help, and guests are welcome to discuss access needs at any time. We will do our best to assist with:
Planning accessible routes around the site
Guest cart transport
Locating suitable pools and facilities
Supporting a comfortable experience wherever possible
Guests who may require assistance in the event of an emergency evacuation are encouraged to inform staff on arrival so we can support you appropriately if needed.
-
visiting us with a carer
Metung Hot Springs welcomes carers, support workers, and companion visitors.
We offer complimentary bathing entry for valid Companion Card holders, with the cardholder’s guest paying the standard or concession bathing entry.
To access this offer, please contact our Reservations team prior to your visit so we can assist with your booking.
-
assistance animals
Metung Hot Springs warmly welcomes accredited assistance animals in accordance with relevant legislation.
If you are planning to visit with an assistance animal, we kindly ask that you contact Guest Services prior to arrival so we can help ensure a comfortable experience for you and your animal.
Please note: for health and safety reasons, assistance animals may not be permitted in certain wet areas, pools, or treatment spaces.
-
quieter times
Metung Hot Springs is a peaceful and restorative environment; however, during peak times, you may experience increased noise levels and a higher number of guests.
For visitors who are neurodiverse, sensory-sensitive, or who prefer a calmer experience, we recommend visiting during quieter times. Generally, quieter days are from Tuesday to Thursday.
Peak periods often include weekends, school holidays, and public holidays.
-
guest cart transport
To support guests who may have difficulty walking longer distances or navigating slopes, guest cart transport is available.
Guest carts can be requested:
At Reception on arrival
In advance by contacting our Reservations team
During your visit, speak with a member of staff
Availability may vary depending on demand and site conditions, and our team will always do their best to assist.
Please note: The Bathing ridge is not accessible via cart and can only be reached via steps. All other areas are accessible via cart transport.
