It takes 3 hr 51 min (312.4 km) to drive here by car from Melbourne's CBD.
public transport
Take the Gippsland V/Line from Melbourne to Bairnsdale, then a coach to Swan Reach. From there, book a taxi to Metung Hot Springs. Taxis and chauffeured services are also available from local areas and bus stops across East Gippsland.
by sea or air

Private and charter flights can access Bairnsdale Airport with international connections available via Melbourne, Sydney, and Canberra airports.

Swimsuits are required—arrive in bathers if possible. Mineral-rich water may cause discolouration.

To reduce the risk of slips we recommend appropriate footwear around the pools and in wet areas.

Please bring your own reusable non-glass bottle with you. We have filtered water onsite for refills.

Lockers are available for hire, but we recommend bringing minimal valuables during your visit.
